Hi, I’m Andrea, and I’m an outnumbered parent.
I haven’t always been this way. Why, I had tasted freedom, until last year. My boys were 8 and 6, and I actually went out for nice dinners, had time with friends, worked out at a gym, read books.
And then my daughter was born. And we went from man-to-man to zone defense.
Here are a few things about me (related and unrelated to parenting):
Animals love me. A little too much.
My husband does the best Chewbacca impression of all time (except he has way less hair).
I need to have dark chocolate and large amounts of Starbucks Espresso blend every day to be a person that will contribute meaningfully to society. And to be conscious for more than 3 hours straight.
I’m in a state of minivan denial-I drive one but I play dubstep in it.
My baby has eclectic taste in music. She’s currently into Raffi, Gangnam Style and The Veldt by Deadmau5.
There isn’t one room in my house that does not have a minimum of 5,000 pieces of Lego in it (bathrooms included).
Outnumbered dad and I swear ALOT. In fact, my middle son’s first word was something pretty rude and un-repeatable. We’re so proud of him.
We hope you enjoy our unique perspectives on parenting three (and sometimes more, we always seem to have waaaayy more kids around here, thankfully not ours).
We love them but they are killing us, slowly.
